HDOgg overwrites any file - A absolutly No GO!!!

In English please read at the end of this message!

Hello to you all and especialy to the developer!

Problem or bug
I have allowed to me to exchange the lame_enc.dll, provided by the program, against a updated version of the lame-encoder. Now the program sometimes crashes at the beginning of a recording or somewhere within. Sometimes a floating point error-medssage is shown.

If the lame_enc.dll couild not be exchanged, HDOgg should c heck at least the version of the Lame encoder, which is in his homedir finds. Otherwise, you should accept it may HDOgg with all the newer versions encoder also cope.

Could you provide the exact versions of the DLL you were using?

Where did you download HarddiskOgg? The distribution should NOT include lame_enc.dll, as this would raise licensing issues.

Hi Jan,
I thought than I'd delete my entry because now I haven't any problems.
You are right, there was no lame-dll in the download-package that I've downloaded from
http://www.fridgesoft.de/downloads.php

I remember that I'd problems if I started HarddiskOgg in a batch file with parameters and with mplayerc at the end. Now I start HarddiskOgg handy if I need it.

Now I work with the lame_enc.dll v. 3.38.

You are planing work on HarddiskOgg in the future?

Thanks for reaction!

Don't know why my entry was not deleted.

Currently I do not have the time to actively add complex new features. That's the primary reason I made HarddiskOgg open source, hoping that someone might find the time for it. I will however add some simple features or bug fixes which are not too complicated to implement.
