Low Volume

Postby Myself007@hotmail.com » 30 Dec 2004, 01:33

When I adjust line-in volume to the highest possible level, recording volume level indicator is not high enough. The maximum the indicator shows is only half-way. The quality of the recorded sound is still reasonable, but I would prefer a higher recording volume level.

The signal from the source is high enough, could my sound card be the problem? Any suggestions?

It's just a question of how well your sound card and sound source go together. Some soundcards also have switches like "attenuate 20db" or "microphone boost" which you might try.
