mixer control button doesn't work

when I click the mixer control button to open the Recording Control window, no window will open. Does anybody know what to do?

HarddiskOgg runs "sndvol32.exe /R" when the mixer button is pressed. This is the way to open the mixer on Windows up to XP.

If you are using Windows XP, and it does not work, try this:

Under Vista, it seems a bit more involved. A manual procedure to access the mixer can be found here:

I just read that the mixer application might be called just "sndvol.exe" in Vista.

If this is actually the case, you could just copy "sndvol.exe" in your Vista system folder to "sndvol32.exe" in the same folder, and it should work.

I do not have a Vista machine here, so I cannot test it. Could anyone try this?

I copied sndvol to sndvol32 , it worked but it's impossible under vista to record with the sound card, or I don't how to do, help....
